Distressed Art Zentangle® & Watercolor Class – What to Expect

During the first week, we will work with our watercolors and learn how to set up our pieces for maptangling. We will also explore the two grid tangles: BALES and TRIPOLI and several pattern fragments that will fill the grids. The second session will focus on tangling our pieces using the maptangling technique. We will create one design from start to finish and then start a second design for further exploration. We will work with both a graphite pencil and white chalk pastel pencil in order to create highlights and lowlights.

This class is intended for tanglers who are familiar with The Zentangle Method® and the basic concepts. There are many great resources out there – starting with Zentangle HQ – to learn the basics. I offer two introductory courses: Introduction to Zentangle® and Intro to Zentangle® & Watercolor.

Classroom Information & Policies

Zoom links will be emailed to you before class. The class will be recorded and you’ll have access to that recording for 7 days after the 2nd class. Also, at the conclusion, you will be provided with reference materials for the patterns we created.

In our time together, I will create a judgement-free zone. There are no mistakes in Zentangle! That means that each participant can go at their own pace and ability. I will encourage everyone to experiment and see what works for them.
