Draw With Me: Cherry Blossoms Zentangle Design

Welcome to my inaugural “Draw With Me” video! In honor of the Cherry Blossom Festival, I picked a favorite design of mine. This design features a couple familiar patterns by Zentangle HQ: Flux & Tipple, and introduces Yumeni by Shie Naritomi, CZT. I learned about Yumeni a few years ago during an event – I can’t remember which one. I remember falling in love with the delicate little flowers instantly, though!

Take your time with Yumeni. Spacing the petals out around the center dot takes a little practice, but payoff is worth it. I use General’s Chalk Pastel Pencils to add color to the card. If you’d like to learn more about the pencils, please follow along. This card works in traditional black & white, and of course, you could use colored pencils or brush pens to add a pop of color. Use what you’re comfortable with!

I did not create all of the music in the video, but I’m excited that my catalog is growing so I can feature some of my own music in it. I’m looking forward to using all of my own music in the near future!
